To help students better adapt to life in Taiwan, the school also organized a “Campus Life Guidance” session, aiming to strengthen international students’ self-care and help-seeking abilities by providing available support services and emergency response measures. Representatives from the Bureau of Labor Insurance, Ministry of Labor, then provided information on labor rights and insurance systems, reminding students of the legal requirements and protections related to part-time work to ensure safe and lawful employment. Following that, a representative from the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, explained how foreign students can use the online application system for Alien Resident Certificates (ARC) to save them the trouble of visiting service counters in person. Students were also reminded to stay alert against scams and protect their personal rights and safety.
The event concluded with a “Meet-and-Greet Welcome Party”, where international foundation students had the opportunity to interact with their future professors in a relaxed atmosphere, fostering cross-cultural understanding and friendship.
