
Introduction to the Chinese Language Center at Hungkuang University of Technology
Establishment: This center was established in June 2021. In light of promoting campus internationalization and the national initiative to boost the Mandarin education industry, the center has actively transformed and expanded its services. It aims to offer more Mandarin courses to foreign nationals and students from our international sister institutions. Operating with the philosophy of sustainable management, the center sets objectives and tasks for each phase of its development.
According to the guidelines approved on June 21, 2021, for the establishment of the Chinese Language Center at Hungkuang University of Technology, the organizational goal is “to implement the government’s promotion of Mandarin education to foreigners and enhance cultural exchanges internationally.”
Primary Responsibilities of the Chinese Language Center:
A. Organize and manage Mandarin courses and related affairs for international students on campus.
In addition to serving the international students enrolled at our university, the center also provides basic Mandarin courses for foreign friends, relatives, and foreign workers of various statuses interested in learning the language. This initiative hopes to promote Chinese culture and assist them in integrating into Taiwanese life. In recent years, the center has also organized summer Mandarin experience camps, allowing high school and college students from different countries to not only learn Mandarin but also immerse themselves in the captivating culture of Taiwan.
